Color Crush : Green

Whether you love bright hues or not, Spring forces you to embrace them. I am a champion of color on even the most bleak winter day but when the Daffodils start popping up everywhere and the grass turns from brown to the brightest shade of green you've ever seen, I get giddy.

Today, on St. Patty's Day and just an all around beautiful Spring-like day, we are celebrating Spring's most favorite color on the pallet.... GREEN. I am going to share how to insert this hue anywhere and everywhere to make it look like Spring has sprung.

Paint works wonders... and these are a few of my go-to most favorite paint colors to brighten anything up. First up on the left, we have Benjamin Moore's Split Pea. The middle is Benjamin Moore's Sweet Daphne and the top, is Valspar's Privet Hedge.

This lamp was white, and now its green. It makes that plant with brown leaves look more vibrant. Right? Illusions, y'all.

On this porch, I worked on last fall, I popped in painted green pieces paired with rusty corals and they pack a big springy punch.

When working with a mainly neutral space, I love to throw in a bright painted piece of furniture. My team found this hutch on Craigslist and spruced it up with a yummy green. All of our cars will soon be this yummy shade of green, when the pollen arrives. Contain your excitement. Luckily, pollen is one of my favorite colors.

Fabric is really my favorite design component of all time and it is a great tool to impact a space with color. Keeping most of this living room's main elements neutral, I threw in those green chairs for a major pop that can keep these clients feeling springy all year round.

A friend asked me to help her brighten up her living room that was full of great pieces but also full of warm tones. We popped some citrus goodness onto this cane chair that was her grandmothers and it added some new life to the space.

And always... When in doubt on how to brighten things up, pillows are the answer. For any question, pillows are always the answer.

Happy Thursday, friends!
